Position Overview
The Inshore Survey Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of nearshore cable route surveys worldwide. This includes coordination of vessels, personnel and equipment and management of contractors to achieve objectives, while maintaining high data quality and operational standards. Acting as the key interface between field teams, suppliers and stakeholders, the Inshore Survey Manager also oversees resource allocation and budget performance within a dynamic inshore operating environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of inshore survey activities, including coordination of nearshore vessels, field teams, and mobilisation logistics.
- Plan and allocate personnel and equipment resources across concurrent inshore projects to meet programme, client, and contractual requirements.
- Lead and oversee execution of inshore survey projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
- Develop, review, and approve task-specific procedures, RAMS, and method statements tailored to shallow water and nearshore operating environments.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE legislation, local regulations, and company policies, with particular focus on dynamic inshore risks (tides, surf zones, port operations).
- Monitor survey data quality and operational performance to ensure deliverables meet agreed specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Provide technical input and support throughout inshore operations.
- Act as the primary interface for clients, suppliers, and local stakeholders during inshore operations, maintaining clear communication and issue resolution.
- Track project budgets and resource costs, ensuring inshore operations are delivered within financial targets.
