Inside Sales and Support Specialist

Who You Are

The Inside Sales and Support Specialist play a critical role in supporting the sales organization by providing commercial assistance throughout the sales cycle. Operating within a fast-paced industrial robotics manufacturing environment, this position serves as a key liaison between customers, District Managers (DM), engineering, production, customer service, and logistics teams. This position focuses on increasing General Industry (GI) bookings, profit growth and driving a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, with strong problem-solving skills, and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional support to both customers and the sales team.

How It’s Done

• Support DMs in developing sales opportunities and maintaining customer relationships with key end-user customers and Authorized System Integrators (ASIs).
• Generate and manage Configuration and Price Quote in CPQ, prepare customer Proposals and answer Request for Quotes (RFQ’s).
• Ensure quote quality and maintain commercial data accuracy in collaboration with the DMs.
• Manage, review and send for processing new Purchase Orders and POA and ensure alignment with quotations in CPQ and contractual requirements.
• Process customer inquiries and provide timely responses regarding products, pricing, lead times, and order status ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Maintain CRM inside sales related activities with customer interactions, opportunities, and order information.
• Collaborate with engineering and applications teams to support technical proposals and customer requirements.
• Function as the backup for DMs when they are on vacation/making sales calls.
• Actively participate in the ongoing improvement process for sales efficiencies; serve as liaison to Headquarters and Regional offices to identify best practices and support local implementation.
• Assist DMs with financial establishment of new customers onboarding activities.
• Maintain strong robot product knowledge and keep up to date on FANUC product information and automation process solutions.
• Assist as needed in the resolution of aftermarket issues in cooperation with Customer Service.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field, Engineering, Sales, Marketing; or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in a customer-facing role (customer service, inside sales, or sales support) within the automation and/or robotics industry.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in industrial automation and robotics field.
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and MS Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).

What Would Be Even Better

• Knowledgeable of robotics is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of FANUC product catalog and applications.
