About the Role
The Inside Sales Coordinator (ISC) supports Ironclad Powered by Mersino’s sales organization by managing opportunity intake, bid and proposal coordination, prequalification activities, CRM administration, and other sales operations that help position the team for successful project pursuits. This role serves as an important first point of contact for inbound opportunities while ensuring sales teams have accurate project information, documentation, and resources to move opportunities forward.
The ISC will work closely with Sales, Branches, Marketing, and other internal teams to research opportunities, coordinate bid submissions, maintain customer and project information, and support efficient sales processes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Act as the first point of contact for inbound customer calls and web leads, providing initial dialogue to gain information on the opportunity, ultimately ensuring that the lead is passed on to the proper department or representative.
- Drive the bid spec pipeline:
- Ability to navigate and manage various bid services such as BidNet, Bid Prime, Sam.gov, Construct Connect, GSA, Building Connected, etc.
- Willing to learn how to identify potential projects, rentals, and sales.
- Collect necessary documentation and set up the sales team with accurate project details.
- Ability to effectively research, discover, and organize project details and documents.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to potential customers, engineers, owners, etc.
- Bid support:
- Maintain and manage municipal and government purchasing programs.
- Prepare basic quotes for sales and rental opportunities.
- Coordinate bid submissions by ensuring all required documentation, certifications, and supporting materials are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Develop and maintain project experience, references, and technical resource databases that strengthen proposal quality and improve win rates.
- Maintain the integrity of the CRM database to ensure accurate opportunity tracking, reporting, forecasting, and customer information.
- Assist with creating and gathering technical data on projects, submittals, and preparing reports to summarize project details.
- Assist with certification attainment and manage certifications necessary for successful sales pursuit.
- Pre-qualifications:
- Support branches, coordinate with other departments, complete customer pre-qualification forms and sites. Ensure supporting documents are available and up to date.
- Gather and maintain information required to complete pre-qualifications and other such submittals or approvals.
- Provide necessary technical and job-specific information to Marketing necessary for creating marketing tools and resources.
- Participate in and provide onboarding support for sales positions. Help structure processes, create supporting documents, coordinate training, etc.
- Complete CRM database auditing and maintenance.
