Power Temp Systems is a leader in providing innovative electrical power distribution solutions for commercial, industrial, and other demanding applications. We specialize in manufacturing portable and permanent power distribution equipment, including generator docking stations, transfer switches, distribution panels, and customized electrical power solutions.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Houston team. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and supporting customers with dependable products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and power distribution solutions.

• Prepare accurate customer quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on sales opportunities.

• Proactively contact prospective and existing customers to generate new business and strengthen relationships.

• Support outside sales representatives with customer communications, pricing, product information, and order coordination.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

• Coordinate with Purchasing to verify product availability, pricing, and lead times.

• Work closely with Shipping and Receiving to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

• Maintain accurate customer records, sales documentation, and reports.

• Assist with inventory management and product availability inquiries.

• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

• Stay informed about company products, services, and industry developments.

• Assist with project coordination and other sales-related responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience.

• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Experience preparing quotes, processing orders, and managing customer accounts.

• Ability to identify sales opportunities and develop customer relationships over the phone.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous inside sales experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.

• Familiarity with electrical power distribution equipment, transfer switches, switchgear, generator docking stations, or related products.

• Experience working with vendors, inventory systems, and order management software.

• Experience using P21 or similar ERP systems.

• Knowledge of industrial equipment, product specifications, and purchasing processes.

Work Environment

• Onsite position at our Houston, Texas facility.

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

• Minimal travel required.

• Primarily office-based with occasional interaction with warehouse and inventory operations.
