ABOUT SCHUPAN

We have been building sustainable material solutions since 1968. At Schupan, you will find a people-first culture, opportunities to grow, and competitive pay — all while being part of a team working toward a more resourceful future.

OUR CORE VALUES

Integrity | Compassion | Empowerment | Sustainability

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be the go-to resource for our customers — explaining technical product and service information, answering their questions, and turning inquiries into orders. You will provide quotations, submit and follow up on orders, and work with other departments to coordinate a smooth sales process from first call to final delivery.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT

  • Answer inbound customer calls from a shared call queue promptly and professionally
  • Respond quickly to leads with high-quality responses and quotes
  • Estimate and quote prices, sales terms, and delivery dates using SAPS pricing
  • Use independent judgment to determine competitive pricing based on manufacturing costs, material availability, and other relevant information
  • Verify pricing and profitability on all quotes and orders
  • Accurately enter order information (part numbers, pricing, delivery, customer information, etc.) into the business system; monitor orders daily to ensure accurate delivery and follow up when necessary
  • Sell and upsell products, and study product information to build professional knowledge
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers through efficient, courteous written and verbal communication
  • Act as an internal logistics expert and problem-solver in support of sales and customer needs
  • Represent the organization in managing complaints, resolving conflicts, and addressing customer grievances
  • Partner with Outside Sales to manage leads and grow territories
  • Manage and coordinate your daily workload and participate in weekly meetings
  • Consistently comply with all safety and ISO quality procedures
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Basic requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a customer service or sales role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong, accurate math skills used daily to quote, price, and verify orders — including extended pricing, unit conversions, gross margin vs. markup, discounts, and percentage change
  • Candidates may be asked to complete a short math assessment as part of the hiring process
  • Working knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office/Teams or similar programs
  • Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • Ability to present information clearly to customers and coworkers, one-on-one or in small groups
  • Ability to write clear, professional correspondence

Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and reading computer screens, documents, and other written material
  • Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting (e.g., paper or office supplies); use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Office environment, with occasional travel to company sites, client locations, or industry events

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

  • Pay: Starting at $47,000+/year, depending on education and experience, plus the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 per quarter in commissions
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Hybrid (3 days onsite)
  • Weekly pay
  • 16 days of PTO in your first year
  • 401(k) with match starting Day 1
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage effective the 1st of the month after hire
  • HSA with company contribution of up to $1,500, FSA, and wellness premium discount
  • Company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement
  • Pet insurance, healthcare concierge, and EAP
