Description

Exo Group, LLC. has been protecting public infrastructure across the U.S. since 2009. Without consistent maintenance and quality assurance, critical assets face a growing risk of failure over time. Exo delivers engineering, inspection, and remediation services for lighting poles, transmission towers, and other infrastructure exposed to ongoing wear from usage, aging, and environmental conditions.

With deep expertise in vertical infrastructure, Exo builds on years of engineering design and fabrication experience across utilities, telecom, transportation, and retail sectors. This foundation supports a comprehensive inspection and asset management approach that addresses both new installations and aging structures requiring immediate attention.

Recognizing that full replacement is often impractical due to cost and safety constraints, Exo developed its “Ex-Tend” approach to manage assets throughout their entire life cycle. From initial quality assurance to ongoing inspection and targeted repairs, this method is designed to extend service life and improve reliability. Supported by data-driven insights, Exo helps clients monitor asset conditions and make informed, strategic decisions.

Position Summary: The Inside Sales Specialist strengthens Exo's key-account execution by converting account strategies into organized follow-up, compelling proposals, accurate CRM records, and dependable pipeline reporting. This role works closely with business development leaders, technical experts, operations, marketing, and finance to keep client commitments and sales pursuits moving forward. The ideal candidate is a disciplined coordinator and strong business writer who is comfortable learning technical services and managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key Account and Pursuit Support
  • Support assigned key-account plans by maintaining stakeholder maps, contact records, priorities, opportunity lists, meeting notes, and agreed next actions.
  • Prepare client-meeting agendas, briefing materials, presentations, call plans, and follow-up communications in partnership with account leaders and subject-matter experts.
  • Research utility capital programs, organizational changes, procurement activity, and market developments that may create client needs or sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal follow-through so client questions, requests, and commitments are routed to the right owner and completed on time.
  • Help identify opportunities to connect clients with Exo's engineering, inspection, testing, field-services, and asset-management capabilities.

Proposal and Sales-Content Coordination

  • Coordinate RFQ, RFP, proposal, qualification, and presentation responses with estimating from kickoff through final submission.
  • Lead RFI efforts to collect data and information from key accounts during quotation.
  • Draft and edit client-focused proposal language, cover letters, executive summaries, and follow-up materials while maintaining a consistent Exo voice.
  • Perform quality-control reviews for accuracy, completeness, formatting, consistency, and submission compliance.
  • Maintain an organized library of approved resumes, case studies, service descriptions, standard responses, and reusable sales content.

CRM, Pipeline, and Reporting Discipline

  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records for accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, next steps, values, probabilities, and expected close and execution dates.
  • Prepare recurring pipeline, forecast, account-activity, and pursuit-status reports for sales leadership.
  • Monitor overdue actions, aging opportunities, missing information, and forecast changes; work with opportunity owners to resolve gaps.
  • Support CRM adoption and data-quality reviews by reinforcing agreed sales processes, naming conventions, and required fields.
  • Capture relevant sales intelligence and lessons learned so account teams can make better pursuit and resource-allocation decisions.

Commercial and Team Coordination

  • Receive, qualify, and route inbound client inquiries and leads according to Exo's sales process.
  • Assist with vendor registrations, prequalification packages, confidentiality agreements, client portals, and other commercial documentation.
  • Coordinate with marketing on campaigns, webinars, conferences, and account-based outreach; track responses and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in sales meetings, account reviews, and continuous-improvement efforts, documenting decisions and ensuring action-item closure.
  • Perform other related duties that support client development and business growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in inside sales, sales operations, proposal coordination, account support, or a similar B2B role.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate proposals or other deadline-driven client deliverables involving multiple contributors.
  • Strong business writing, editing, proofreading, presentation-development, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to organize competing priorities, follow through reliably, and maintain a high level of accuracy with limited supervision.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling client, commercial, and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

Mental Requirements

  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail during extended periods of reading, writing, editing, and data entry.
  • Learn and understand technical engineering, inspection, and field-service concepts and explain them in clear business language.
  • Analyze information, identify gaps or errors, and use sound judgment to resolve issues.
  • Work effectively under time pressure, particularly during proposal and RFP submission deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally and tactfully with clients, leaders, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Handle confidential client, commercial, and pricing information with discretion.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across teams.

Measures of Success
