Inside Sales Support
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, competitive quotes for bills of material and customer requests within established response timelines.
- Convert approved quotes into sales orders in the ERP system and monitor each order through shipment and delivery.
- Source products and materials from approved vendors to meet customer specifications, pricing expectations, and required delivery dates.
- Communicate proactively and consistently with customers, vendors, outside sales representatives, peers, and operational teams.
- Partner with outside sales to develop new customer relationships, expand product offerings, and strengthen existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate pricing, quote, order, customer, and vendor records in the ERP system and Microsoft Excel.
- Track open quotes and orders, identify risks or delays, and coordinate timely solutions to protect the customer experience.
- Balance revenue growth, gross margin, service expectations, and operational requirements when developing customer solutions.
- Build working knowledge of data center construction requirements, applicable products, vendors, and market conditions.
- Support operational excellence and regional performance goals, including applicable incentive program objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support customers and business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, order management, or another customer-facing role preferred.
- Experience working directly with customers and/or partnering with outside sales is preferred.
- Industry experience in industrial distribution, construction supply, electrical distribution, MRO, equipment rental, plumbing, PVF, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
- Early-career and recent college graduates with strong communication skills, learning agility, and customer focus are encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to provide clear, timely, and proactive updates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with an ERP or order management system is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quoting, data entry, order processing, and follow-up.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests, meet deadlines, and remain responsive in a fast-paced environment.
