Inspection Scheduling Team Leader

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Nuclear Reactor Inspector, Division of Reactor Inspection Support, Reactor Data and Generic Communications Branch, National Scheduling Team. The supervisor is Desiree Davis. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. The successful candidate will perform the full range of the Inspection Scheduling Team Leader. Such duties include but are not limited to: Provides authoritative technical and administrative guidance and coordination in the Office of the Chief Nuclear Reactor Inspector's (CNRI) implementation of the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) as the NST team leader. Responsible for ensuring consistent and balanced use of inspection and oversight resources for all ROP inspections for the current operating reactor fleet. Leads the tracking of baseline inspection completion and monitors several key ROP performance measures, including inspection timeliness goals and resource usage. Interfaces with the Office of Advanced Reactors (OAR) to support scheduling and coordinate staffing needs associated with the Advanced Reactor Construction Oversight Process (ARCOP). Monitors ROP assessment activities, inspection scheduling, and staffing to ensure that assigned activities are conducted consistently across NRC program offices. Effects appropriate disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, and recommends other appropriate action in more serious cases. As assigned, leads and participates in the analysis of the results from inspection reports, enforcement actions, and other technical sources of information for the purpose of discerning trends and decision-making regarding implementatin of NRC inspection programs.
