Inspector (APU Release to Service)
With general supervision, the Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the completed engine and/or component meets the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers.
- Review and evaluate all maintenance documentation for completed/assembled product
- Record and communicate findings legibly and precisely to operations manager and customer program manager
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections utilizing appropriate technical documents
- Perform minor disassembly and assembly in accordance with inspection requirements
- Follow all company policies including safety instructions
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
- Working knowledge of FAA requirements for repair stations (14 CFR Part 145 and Part 43)
- Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions
- Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction programs
- Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs
- Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
