An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation Engineer to join a growing engineering business with an established UK customer base.
This role would suit someone with a couple of years' engineering experience who is looking to build their career within a specialist installation team. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on customer sites across the UK, assisting with the installation, assembly and commissioning of equipment.
Unlike a traditional service engineer role, you won't be working away every week. Instead, you can expect to spend approximately 50% of your time working away from home, supporting installation projects nationwide.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work, travelling to different locations, and developing their technical skills within a supportive and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the installation and assembly of equipment at customer sites
- Support site-based engineering projects across the UK
- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
- Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly work
- Assist with equipment testing and commissioning activities
- Complete installation checks and site surveys
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
- Work closely with customers and colleagues on site
- Support continuous improvement and high-quality workmanship standards
Previous engineering, mechanical fitting or installation experience
Around 2+ years of engineering experience preferred
Strong practical and hands-on approach
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent communication skills
Professional and customer-focused attitude
Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn
Full UK Driving Licence
