Installation Technician - Septic Systems
Wind River Environmental is looking for a skilled, safety-focused Installation Technician to join our team! If you have heavy equipment experience, and a knack for working independently while delivering top-notch service — we’d love to have you on board! Septic System installs, repairs and modifications. Applicant must have a valid drivers license. This is a non-CDL position. Track hoe experience preferred, but not necessary. This is a daytime shift – mostly Monday through Friday.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $18.00 - $20.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

About the Role:
As an Installation Technician, you’ll play a key role in the safe and professional installation of residential and commercial septic systems, working directly with customers, health departments, and inspectors. You’ll operate heavy equipment like excavators and skid steers, read blueprints and site plans, and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to code.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate excavators and skid steers to dig trenches for septic tanks and drain lines
- Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to determine proper system layout
- Install septic tanks and piping systems according to local codes and permit requirements
- Work with inspectors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects correctly and efficiently
- Perform system inspections for real estate transactions and troubleshooting services
- Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available service options
- Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation for each job
- Work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed
