Job Summary The Installer Assistant is responsible for supporting the Lead Sign Installer in the safe, efficient, and professional execution of sign installations and service calls. This role is designed as a foundational position for those looking to build a career in the signage industry. You will assist with site preparation, material handling, tool management, and site cleanup, ensuring our field teams have everything they need to deliver high-quality signage solutions on schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Assist the Lead Installer in preparing job sites, including clearing debris, staging tools, and organizing materials to ensure a smooth installation process.
- Material & Equipment Support: Safely load, unload, and transport signage, steel, aluminum, and installation hardware. Keep tools and materials organized on the truck and at the work site.
- Installation Support: Provide hands-on assistance during the mounting of channel letters, pylon signs, monument signs, and ADA/wayfinding signage.
- Site Cleanup: Ensure all installation areas are left clean, professional, and free of debris upon project completion. Dispose of waste and store equipment properly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of company vehicles and tools to ensure functionality and security.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, fall protection, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Learning & Development: Actively learn installation methods, electrical basics, and tool operation under the mentorship of the Lead Installer.
