Summary

Support the EU agency EIOPA’s Institutional Relations team by drafting briefing materials, tracking EU policy developments, and coordinating meetings with EU institutions and stakeholders.

Our client, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), is an EU agency working to strengthen financial stability and consumer protection in the insurance and occupational pensions sectors across the European Union. EIOPA promotes supervisory convergence, supports consistent regulatory practices, and enhances cooperation among national authorities.

The Authority is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Civitta, in cooperation with Synergie Personal Deutschland GmbH, provides temporary staffing services to the agency under an EU Framework Service Contract for interim services.

Institutional Relations, Strategy & Implementation Assistant (EU Affairs)

As an IRSI Assistant at EIOPA, you will be ensuring efficient and effective support to EIOPA’s Institutional Relations, Strategy and Implementation (IRSI) Team in the Corporate Affairs Department to fulfil its objective.

You will be

  • Assisting IRSI by contributing to drafting speaking points and background overviews for Senior Management in support of their engagements with EU institutions, national authorities and external stakeholders.

  • Assisting IRSI by contributing to monitor EU legislative and policy developments in the areas under EIOPA’s remit.

  • Assisting IRSI by contributing to stakeholder relations, interinstitutional collaboration, and the preparation of meetings and related follow-up actions.

  • Supporting the team's work on any other task as required.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary education, preferably in the field of economics, European affairs and studies, and international relations (diploma required).

  • At least 6 months of relevant professional experience in a multicultural environment.

  • Experience in insurance and in an EU institution or agency is considered an asset.

  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.

  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Full-time temporary role for 3 months, with a possible extension of up to 9 months based on operational needs.
  • Gross hourly salary: €21.70 - €24.56
