Instructional Aide, Avery Elementary
Summary
Assist certified teachers and counselors in classrooms and school activities, monitor student progress, and support school operations in a K-12 public school setting.
Primary Objective: Under the direction of the building principal, assist certified staff in supporting students; monitor and report student progress.
Essential Functions:
- Assist teachers with instruction of individual and small groups of students in the classroom
- Assist counselors in their support of students
- Assist with building supervision including but not limited to hallway, lunch, and recess
- Other duties as assigned
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of (60) sixty college hours
Experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience is required
Certification: Missouri teacher certification and/or substitute teacher certification preferred
Hours of Employment: 8-hour shift
Base Pay: $17.91/hourly
Benefits: Eligible
