Are you a creative and motivated student interested in designing engaging learning experiences? Jordan’s is seeking an Instructional Design Intern to join our Learning & Development team for Summer 2027.
Through our Furnish Your Future Internship Program, you'll gain hands-on experience creating and enhancing training materials, e-learning content, job aids, and employee development resources that support our retail and corporate teams. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, apply instructional design best practices, and contribute to projects that improve employee learning and performance.
This is an opportunity to explore adult learning principles, learning technologies, and content development while making a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

This is a 10-week paid internship, starting June 7th , 2027, based in East Taunton, MA, with opportunities to visit retail store locations throughout New England.

What You’ll Do:

Bring your creativity and fresh ideas to help design engaging, learner-centered training experiences that support the growth and success of the J-Team.

Take ownership of a meaningful instructional design project that advances a key Learning & Development initiative and delivers measurable value to the organization.
Support the creation of learning objectives, storyboards, content outlines, and design documents that guide the development of effective learning experiences.
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning training materials, including presentations, job aids, videos, guides, and interactive learning activities.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to complete training needs analysis and translate complex concepts into effective, engaging training content.
Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create learning solutions that improve knowledge retention, skill development, and on-the-job performance.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of learning programs by gathering learner feedback, evaluating training effectiveness, and recommending enhancements.
Gain hands-on experience using instructional design and learning technologies to develop and deliver modern learning solutions.
Research emerging trends in instructional design, workplace learning, learning technologies, and employee development to help drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Organize and maintain learning assets, templates, and content repositories to support content development and ensure version control.
Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Distribution and corporate departments to support learning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department.

Who You Are:

A rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning Experience Design Adult Education or a related field

Creative and detail-oriented, with the ability to organize information and present it in a clear, engaging, and meaningful way.
Passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and helping others develop their skills and careers.
Comfortable using technology and eager to learn new learning platforms, content creation tools, and training technologies.
A proactive, self-motivated learner eager to take on new challenges and make an impact.
Experience creating presentations, training materials, digital content, videos, or educational resources is a plus.
Prior experience in presenting, customer service, content creation, or Human Resources is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour. We share our pay rate because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
