Instructor (Legal)

As Instructor (Legal), GS-1701, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Identifying training program needs, development and revision of legal training materials related to law enforcement in Indian Country. Instructing classes and conducts practical evaluations according to pre-established lesson plans/course outlines in such a manner that the students achieve the course objectives. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of students participating in classroom, laboratory, practical exercises, and academic/remedial examinations. Is assigned duties as class coordinator for on-site and field training programs. These duties include supervising students, class scheduling, class evaluation, and all areas of logistics involved in conducting a law enforcement training program. Serving on all curriculum review committees, which will involve making oral and written presentation in a clear and concise manner. Make recommendations on subject matter issues and time allotments for each area of instruction.
