Instrument Service Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sales Team to provide technical support for the sales and promotion of products.
- Explain the technical and functional aspects of products to the Sales Team and end users.
- Provide comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including servicing, repairs, site evaluations, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), site commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support for in-house and on-site projects.
- Provide technical support for the following product categories:
- 1) Flow Meters and Moisture Analysers
- 2) Level Transmitters
- 3) Field Instrumentation
- Perform product installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
- Conduct FAT and SAT activities and ensure that the products meet customer specifications and project requirements.
- Arrange product demonstrations and conduct product training for customers, users, and relevant Sales Channels.
- Provide post-sales technical support to Sales Channels and customers to resolve product-related technical queries and issues.
- Install, commission, configure, and troubleshoot analogue and digital communication systems, including: 4-20 mA, Modbus, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, HART
- Ensure proper integration of instrumentation with customers' DCS/SCADA control systems.
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and project requirements.
- Conduct warranty assessments and evaluations for defective products and carry out repairs where applicable, together with the preparation of service and evaluation reports.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with established calibration, testing, quality, and technical standards.
- Assist in developing and maintaining calibration standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- Plan and execute testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, and other applicable requirements.
- Set up and operate standard and specialized laboratory equipment for testing, evaluation, and calibration of instruments and test equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date in-house technical documentation, service records, calibration records, and customer information.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety and qualify standards.
Qualification
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently and effectively
- Physically fit
