Compensation: $19 - $23/ HourSchedule: Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 4:00pm in office and Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm remote. Location: West Chester, PA
Chord Specialty Dental Partners, a leading provider of pediatric and orthodontic dental care, is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team!
The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for confirming all coverage for patients prior to the day of service. They are also responsible for informing the patients of their coverage including any copays, deductibles and co-insurances due the date of the procedure.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Contact the insurance companies to verify coverage and the need for a prior authorization
- Maintain an open line of communication with the front desk staff to ensure patient charts are up to date with correct insurance information prior to the scheduled appointment
- Educate the parents to contact their insurance company if the carrier states it’s not a covered benefit or to ensure they have an advocate to obtain timely payments for the center prior to date of service
- Add new coverages into the system
- Alert offices when appointments need to be cancelled
- Call parents to obtain new coverages
- Verify scheduled appointments
- Ensure that all existing data and coverage tables are accurate
- Enter the patients’ insurance information accurately in the computer system.
- Greet the public with a sense of warmth, compassion and pride and see to the needs of the patients and families.
- Inform patient of self-pay rates due in the event the insurance company is out of network for the facility
- All other duties as deemed appropriate
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience with insurance verification strongly preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or medical/dental office setting required.
- The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of dental/medical terminology and be familiar with a variety of insurances.
- Excellent people handling and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A high degree of accuracy in obtaining and recording information; computer skills
