Insurance Verifier - Central Sched at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work <80>-hour, Day shifts.

The Insurance Verifier is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, identifying services requiring authorization for treatment and referral information.

Required qualifications:
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
- 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
- Clerical and computer experience.
- Experience with State, Federal and other regulatory Compliance Regulations, including: Medicare Secondary Payer, EMTALA, and ABN.
Preferred qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: 2 years of college level coursework.
- Coursework/Training: Completion of college level medical terminology or Medical Assistant course.
- CHAA upon hire.
- Healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting, health insurance or medical office or previous registrar, verification or third party payer experience.
