Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialists - NV1 Cleared - Defence ICT

We have been engaged to find experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) professionals for multiple opportunities supporting a major Australian Government ICT capability. These roles are ideal for practitioners who understand that successful capability isn’t measured by successful delivery alone – it’s measured by how effectively that capability can be sustained, supported and evolved throughout its operational life. Working within multidisciplinary engineering and project teams, you’ll contribute to the planning, development and ongoing sustainment of complex ICT capability, ensuring supportability is considered from design through to operational service. Whether your background is in Integrated Logistics Support, Support System Engineering, Sustainment Engineering or Capability Support, you’ll play an important role in ensuring technology remains available, maintainable and fit for operational use.

What you’ll be doing
Working closely with systems engineers, project managers, configuration specialists and technical stakeholders, your responsibilities may include:
  • conducting Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and supportability analysis throughout the capability lifecycle
  • developing and maintaining Integrated Product Support (IPS) documentation, sustainment strategies and support concepts
  • preparing Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) artefacts and engineering documentation to inform capability planning
  • contributing to maintenance planning, asset support strategies and lifecycle management activities
  • supporting reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability (RAMS) objectives across ICT capability
  • assisting with configuration management, engineering change and technical data activities that support sustainment outcomes
  • working with engineering teams to ensure supportability requirements are incorporated into solution design and implementation
  • supporting transition from project delivery into operational sustainment
  • contributing to governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance long-term capability performance.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking professionals who understand that sustainment begins long before a system enters service. You’re someone who naturally considers lifecycle implications during design and implementation, recognising that maintainability, training, documentation and logistics planning are fundamental to operational success. You will likely have experience supporting Defence, aerospace, maritime, government or other highly regulated engineering environments where disciplined lifecycle management is essential.

Experience across several of the following will be highly regarded:
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
  • Integrated Product Support (IPS)
  • Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
  • Sustainment Engineering
  • Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Supportability (RAMS)
  • Maintenance Planning
  • Asset Lifecycle Management
  • Engineering Change Management
  • Configuration Management
  • Technical Documentation
  • MILIS
  • Engineering Governance
  • Defence sustainment frameworks
Experience supporting complex ICT, communications, mission systems or other technology-enabled capability will be highly regarded.

The person we’re seeking
You’re analytical, collaborative and naturally think beyond implementation. You enjoy solving problems that improve long-term capability outcomes and understand that successful sustainment requires close collaboration between engineering, operations and project delivery teams. You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate complex engineering considerations into practical sustainment solutions that balance operational readiness, cost and risk.

Why apply?
These opportunities offer the chance to influence capability throughout its lifecycle, not just during delivery. You will join experienced multidisciplinary teams working in secure environments where lifecycle thinking, engineering discipline and long-term sustainment planning are valued from the outset.

Client and program details remain confidential and will be shared with shortlisted candidates during the recruitment process.
