Integration Architect – SAP & Supply Chain Systems
We are looking for an experienced Integration Architect to join the discovery phase of a strategic supply chain transformation programme for a global FMCG client.
The programme focuses on integrating and consolidating the Order-to-Cash processes and system landscapes of two organizations. A key challenge will be defining a scalable integration architecture connecting OMS, TMS, SAP ERP/S/4HANA, 3PL partners and 10+ different warehouse management systems.
Your role
You will be responsible for assessing the existing integration landscapes and defining the target integration architecture for the wider transformation programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- analysing the existing interfaces, integration technologies and middleware platforms used by both organizations;
- designing the target integration architecture across OMS, TMS, SAP ERP/S/4HANA, WMS solutions, carriers and 3PL partners;
- defining a standardized and repeatable model for integrating 18 different WMS solutions over the next two years;
- defining integration patterns for APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven communication and B2B/EDI;
- assessing how existing integration platforms can be reused, consolidated or modernized;
- defining standards for interface design, data mapping, security, monitoring, error handling and partner onboarding;
- supporting the definition of canonical data models and reusable integration components;
- identifying technical dependencies, risks, constraints and key architectural decisions;
- leading or supporting technical discovery and architecture workshops;
- contributing to the programme roadmap, critical path and implementation approach;
- working closely with the SCO/SCI Solution Architect, OMS/TMS Solution Architect, SAP teams and business stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Senior Integration Architect with experience designing complex enterprise integration landscapes;
- strong experience integrating SAP ECC or S/4HANA with external systems;
- practical knowledge of logistics and supply chain integrations, ideally involving OMS, TMS, WMS or 3PL platforms;
- strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous communication, APIs, messaging and event-driven architecture;
- experience with B2B/EDI integrations and common logistics data exchange scenarios;
- knowledge of integration governance, reusable patterns and canonical data models;
- experience designing monitoring, error-handling, retry and reconciliation mechanisms;
- ability to assess integration platforms and provide product-independent recommendations;
- experience leading discovery sessions and architecture workshops;
- strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
- fluent English.
Relevant technologies may include
- SAP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP PI/PO or SAP BTP;
- MuleSoft, Boomi, webMethods, Azure Integration Services or similar platforms;
- Kafka, JMS, Event Mesh or other messaging technologies;
- REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, EDI/EDIFACT and file-based integrations;
- API Management, OAuth, certificates and secure partner connectivity;
- monitoring and observability tools used across distributed integration landscapes.
Experience with every technology listed above is not required. We are looking for an architect who can evaluate the existing landscape and define a scalable integration approach using the most appropriate platforms and patterns.
Nice to have
- experience integrating multiple external WMS solutions with a central SAP ERP or S/4HANA platform;
- experience with OMS, TMS, carrier or 3PL integrations;
- experience creating reusable onboarding models for warehouses, carriers or logistics partners;
- background in FMCG, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing or distribution;
- experience in system consolidation following a merger or acquisition;
- experience working within global SAP transformation programmes.
Project details
- Start: 1 September 2026
- Initial discovery phase: approximately three months
- Wider programme: OMS/TMS integration and 10+ WMS integrations planned over approximately two years
- Engagement: full-time or part-time
- Contract: B2B
- Location: remote
