We’re looking for an experienced Integration Architect who wants to play a key role in shaping Watercare’s future digital landscape. With significant transformation underway across Watercare, you’ll help define how our systems, platforms and data connect as we move towards a more modern, modular and cloud-based environment.

This is a strategic architecture role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence how integration is designed and delivered across a large and complex organisation.

Working closely with our Principal Architect and wider Digital teams, you’ll help define our integration strategy, establish architectural patterns and standards, and turn that strategy into practical solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Defining and evolving Watercare’s integration strategy and architecture roadmap
  • Establishing integration patterns that improve consistency, reliability and security
  • Owning high-level solution designs across the integration domain
  • Providing architecture guidance across API-based, file-based and message-driven integration
  • Supporting architects and Technical Leads with integration design and delivery
  • Helping shape our move towards a modular and cloud-native technology environment
  • Working with business and technical teams to understand requirements and develop scalable solutions
  • Influencing key technology decisions across Watercare

You’ll bring strong integration architecture experience, but just as importantly, you’ll be comfortable working across the organisation, influencing decisions and making complex technology easy to understand.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in solution design, including at least 3 years within integration
  • Strong knowledge of modern integration architecture and design
  • Experience across APIs, messaging and file-based integration
  • Experience developing high-level designs and architecture patterns
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical advice
  • Experience working across Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
  • A relevant Computer Science qualification or equivalent practical experience

TOGAF, Azure or AWS certifications would be an advantage, but they’re not essential.

We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including:
• Training and development opportunities
• Life and income protection insurance plans
• Generous parental leave
• Employee discounts at a range of large retailers
