A 6-month contract MuleSoft Integration Developer role in Melbourne with a prominent state government organization (via Hays). Day to day you design, develop, and support enterprise integrations between on-premises and SaaS systems using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, working in a hybrid model 2-3 days in the office.

Your new role
The MuleSoft Integration Developer will work as a member of the ICT Applications Team. The organization has implemented a system and integrated it with various other business critical On-Premises as well as SaaS systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in development and support for enterprise-level applications and perform the following;
- Involved in requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop, design and support robust, scalable, and high-quality digital applications using industry best practices and coding standards.
- Perform code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal software functionality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and industry advancements, and apply them to enhance development processes and methodologies.
- Collaborate with business units to define and refine development processes, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in analysis and development.
- Extensive expertise in developing solutions using the MuleSoft platform.
- Significant experience and practical knowledge of Mulesoft ESB, JMS and Active MQ Anypoint Platform, including experience with third party MuleSoft Anypoint Connectors
- Practical understanding of SOAP webservices, REST API (JSON), FTP/FTPS, SFTP and VPN
- Practical experience in cloud application integration and technologies such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, AWS, Azure and Google.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of CI/CD practices and tools including Bamboo and jFrog Artifactory.
- Specialist knowledge of API strategy development and API led architecture.
- Azure & AWS Cloud experience is an added advantage
