Purpose of the Role

The Integration Engineer is responsible forthe successful integration, commissioning, testing, and acceptance oftelecommunications network solutions across customer environments. The rolesupports end-to-end project delivery by ensuring seamless deployment of networkelements, validating system functionality, resolving technical issues, andensuring compliance with customer and organizational quality standards. Theposition requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, customers,project managers, and technical specialists to deliver high-quality networkintegration services.

Key Responsibilities

Network Integration & Commissioning

  • Perform integration, commissioning, and acceptance of telecommunications network elements and associated hardware/software.
  • Execute end-to-end integration activities for new network deployments, expansions, upgrades, and modernization projects.
  • Configure network equipment in accordance with approved design documents and customer requirements.
  • Validate network functionality through comprehensive testing and troubleshooting.

Technical Implementation

  • Install and configure network software, licenses, and feature packages.
  • Perform software upgrades, migration activities, and patch implementation while minimizing service disruption.
  • Execute integration procedures for IP, optical, transmission, and access network technologies as applicable.
  • Support interoperability testing with existing customer network infrastructure.

Testing & Validation

  • Conduct pre-integration, post-integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Analyze alarms, logs, and performance data to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting during implementation and stabilization phases.
  • Ensure successful completion of Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and customer acceptance activities.

Project Delivery

  • Execute assigned integration activities within agreed project timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, field engineers, and customer technical teams.
  • Support cutover and migration activities during planned maintenance windows.
  • Provide regular progress updates and technical reports.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain Method of Procedure (MOP), implementation plans, test reports, and integration documentation.
  • Update project documentation, network records, and implementation status.
  • Ensure all activities comply with customer standards, company processes, and quality requirements.
  • Follow health, safety, and security guidelines during onsite and remote implementation activities.

Customer Support

  • Provide technical support during deployment and stabilization phases.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers to resolve implementation challenges.
  • Support knowledge transfer and handover activities to operations and support teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in telecommunications or networking are desirable.

Required Experience

  • Experience in telecommunications network integration, commissioning, implementation, or deployment.
  • Experience working on customer implementation projects in multi-vendor network environments.
  • Exposure to optical, IP/MPLS, transmission, wireless, or access network technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting network migration, software upgrades, and customer acceptance testing.

Technical Skills

  • Network integration and commissioning.

  • Troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).
  • Network management systems and EMS/NMS platforms.
  • Linux/Unix fundamentals.
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of network protocols and telecommunications architectures.
  • Knowledge of testing and validation procedures.
