Integration Engineer / Workato Developer

ENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications. Apply integration engineering, API, cloud, automation, and platform-first principles to deliver reusable and maintainable solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, iPaaS, and cloud services.

• Assess business and technical requirements and determine the appropriate integration approach, including low-code/no-code, API-led, or custom development.

• Develop and maintain REST, GraphQL, and event-driven integrations.

• Maintain and enhance existing enterprise integrations and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Develop reusable integration patterns, connectors, and components to improve delivery efficiency and system interoperability.

• Implement automated functional, integration, and performance testing.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code and cloud-based integration services.

• Monitor and optimize integration performance, reliability, security, and cost.

• Collaborate with business, product, platform, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective integration solutions.

• Contribute to integration standards, architecture patterns, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Related Work Experience - 5–7+ years of experience in software engineering, integration development, or backend services.

  • Proven experience developing APIs and integrating enterprise systems in cloud environments.

  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams and engaging with technical and business stakeholders.

• Knowledge

  • API design and development, including REST and GraphQL

  • Enterprise integration patterns and middleware/iPaaS platforms

  • Event-driven architecture and cloud-based integration services

  • Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

  • CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices

  • Integration security and authentication mechanisms

  • Automated functional, integration, and performance testing

  • Workato, Boomi, or similar low-code/no-code integration platforms is an advantage
