Integration Solutions Engineer
NewBe an early applicantSummary
A hands-on integration engineer who designs, builds, and supports connections between a SaaS platform and customer ERPs, banks, and APIs (using Workato and similar iPaaS tools), serving the CPG industry. Fully remote for U.S.-based employees, paying $100k–$130k per year.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Integration Solutions Engineer based in the United States.
This is a hands-on technical role at the intersection of solution architecture, integration engineering, and customer success.
You’ll design and build integrations connecting a modern SaaS platform with customer ERPs, banks, APIs, and other business systems.
You’ll translate complex business and accounting requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
Working directly with customers and cross-functional teams, you’ll own integration work from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and handoff.
You’ll also help transform one-off implementations into standardized patterns, reusable frameworks, and more scalable integration capabilities.
The environment is remote-first, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial, with significant room to influence how integrations are built and delivered.
This is an opportunity to make a foundational impact within a growing technology company while solving meaningful problems for the CPG industry.
Accountabilities

- Partner with Solution Architecture, Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams to translate approved business and accounting workflows into scalable technical integration designs.
- Lead technical discovery around ERP capabilities, APIs, authentication, data availability, system limitations, and integration feasibility.
- Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, explain architecture and data flows, challenge assumptions, and recommend appropriate integration approaches.
- Define data mappings, transformations, integration logic, synchronization schedules, and error-handling requirements for approved workflows.
- Own the technical integration workstream from initial design and system connections through internal testing, customer UAT, production deployment, and technical handoff.
- Create clear technical documentation, solution blueprints, mappings, dependencies, and integration specifications that enable effective collaboration across teams.
- Develop expertise across ERP environments such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Dynamics 365, and other systems commonly used by customers.
- Monitor and support live integrations, troubleshoot transaction failures, investigate root causes, respond to ERP or API changes, and implement scalable fixes.
- Identify recurring integration patterns, technical gaps, and opportunities to improve APIs, automation, and the underlying integration framework.
- Partner with integration leadership and engineering teams to establish architecture standards, reusable patterns, and processes that reduce custom development and accelerate customer onboarding.
- Help improve integration reliability, implementation speed, and scalability by turning successful one-off solutions into repeatable frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance on complex edge cases where ERP capabilities, accounting workflows, or integration constraints affect the recommended customer solution.
- 3+ years of experience designing or developing technical solutions for customer adoption, implementations, integrations, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, including authentication, requests and responses, pagination, error handling, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data models, data transformation, JSON, API payloads, and field mappings.
- Practical knowledge of integration concepts such as scheduled polling, webhooks, retries, error handling, data integrity, monitoring, and synchronization.
- Experience working with an iPaaS platform such as Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, Celigo, or Tray.io, or equivalent experience building software integrations directly.
- Experience integrating ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or Dynamics 365.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Comfortable working directly with customers to gather requirements, explain technical tradeoffs, investigate issues, and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly identify needs, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrate resourcefulness, and improve systems without extensive direction.
- Strong documentation skills and an interest in turning lessons learned and custom solutions into reusable patterns and scalable processes.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude to improve development, research, troubleshooting, and documentation workflows.
- Experience with accounting or financial workflows is valuable; familiarity with cash application, deduction management, trade promotion management, or CPG accounting is a plus.
- A collaborative, ownership-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for making a foundational contribution within a growing Series B environment.
- Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year.
- Remote-first: Fully remote work environment for U.S.-based employees, with flexibility to work productively without a commute.
- Home office support: $200 monthly remote-work stipend, plus a home-office setup stipend upon hire.

- Retirement: 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution.
- Flexible time off: Flexible PTO designed to support sustainable performance and prevent burnout.

- Meals: $20 weekly meal stipend, with meals purchased also supporting Feeding America through meal donations.
- Culture: A collaborative, remote-first environment centered on ownership, transparency, customer focus, urgency, empathy, and teamwork.
- Growth: Opportunity to shape foundational integration practices, contribute to scalable technical systems, and grow alongside a fast-moving organization.
