Summary

Military intelligence role overseeing ISR operations, training, and compliance for Air Force Reserve units using geospatial and multi-source intelligence systems.

The primary purpose of this position is to as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to serve as the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Flight NCOIC (AFRC). The incumbent has overall responsibility to the Flight Commander for the unit. The incumbent also has responsibility for orchestrating related Air Force Reserve integration into global ISR operations via associated programs.

1. Provides expertise for executing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), geospatial intelligence, and intelligence production for combat mission planning and execution. Provides the Flight Commander, ISS Squadron Commander, ISR Group Commander, and other senior leadership with guidance on highly technical, diverse multi-intelligence functions, to include HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source Fusion Analysis, and DCGS. 2: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the ISR Flight. Has overall responsibility to the ISR Flight Commander for planning, executing and sustaining intelligence for ISR functions/operations (to include AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) weapon system, AF tactical intelligence systems, and AF national intelligence systems, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, and All Source/Fusion Analysis) in support of the U.S. Air Force, DoD, and National level Agencies in the areas of foreign intelligence, foreign counterintelligence, counterterrorism, anti-terrorism, combat operations, and peacekeeping/peace building operations worldwide. 3: Serves as an AFRC ISR expert, interfacing with AFRC and AF Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the ISR Group as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) ISR units, missions, and operations. Individual represents the Flight Commander and interfaces with AFRC Operations Center Chiefs and associated personnel, as well as with RegAF counterparts within the AF Operations Centers (to include but not limited NASIC, DCGS, ISR and Targeting Operations Centers), and external customers to include Combatant Command and Theater Air Force Component Commands. 4: Responsible to the Flight Commander for managing, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Analyzes Air Force Reserve and RegAF capability to execute required ISR activities in order for unit and crew objectives to be attained; designs, develops, and implements plans geared to attain and maintain the highest level of combat mission ready proficiency of assigned ISR units and crew members. 5: Implements crew and ground training requirements. Analyzes directives from higher headquarters and information available in form of accident reports and mission readiness reports in order to develop operational plans, standard operating procedures, and implementing instructions pertaining to General Military Training of ISR Group and subordinate unit personnel in ISR functions / operations.
