INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST

Duty 1 - Performs duties involving the processing and exploitation of complex intelligence information. Situations/information coordinated, integrated, and analyzed are not susceptible to generally accepted methods. Performs, leads, and/or monitors projects/teams/lower graded specialists in assignments involving the processing and exploitation of ISR (broad-based and domain/discipline-agnostic) products, applications, capabilities, and resources within their assigned defined geographical or functional area of responsibility. Develops experimental approaches and solutions to process or exploit Geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and other intelligence sources as necessary. Duty 2 - Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of service, national, and coalition customers. Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and evaluation derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strength. Duty 3 - Serves as a functional authority on ISR issues. Makes recommendations and defends decisions on operational policy matters to the Director and AF ISR Agency staff; often required to make recommendations on committing large expenditures of Agency funds or resources impacting future capabilities and programs.
