INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
You will serve as the Advanced Development Digital Environments Lead Avionics Systems Engineer directly supporting PMA-299. You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, AVIONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
You will serve as chief architect for the program's Digital Engineering Environment, researching and selecting software, plugins, and integrations for JIRA, Confluence, PLM, CATIA, Cameo, and Teamwork Cloud.
You will architect secure data pipelines and tool integrations to build connected Digital Threads linking operational scenario models, MBSE systems models, component design tools, and engineering analysis tools.
You will design data orchestration pipelines that aggregate Digital Threads into the Technical Baseline Framework, configuring dashboards for real-time visibility into design maturity and airworthiness compliance.
You will partner with MBSE and Systems Engineering leads to translate engineering logic and Developmental Change Management processes into configured DEE software, workflow plugins, and custom permission schemas.
You will direct the implementation of automated metadata tagging structures and transition rules within the DEE to govern how baseline changes are submitted, reviewed, and approved across the program.
You will provide the digital infrastructure to connect physical Living Lab environments to the DEE, enabling data loops that feed hardware-in-the-loop test results back into the model for continuous VV and A.
You will act as strategic liaison to NAVAIR DNA enterprise instance managers, aggregating advanced DEE requirements to ensure integration of required compute capabilities, plugins, and cross-domain access.
You will collaborate with cybersecurity and ATO leads to ensure all federated data pipelines, plugins, and access portals strictly comply with DoD zero-trust principles, data tagging, and IL5/IL6 security frameworks.
You will lead the design, modification, acquisition, integration, validation and final approval of avionics equipment.
You will explore, develop, and mature innovative engineering, mathematical and scientific concepts and electromagnetic methodologies into avionics technologies to fill known and unknown technology gaps.

You will determine feasibility of integrating various avionics systems with specific attention to the effects on systems due to the unique aircraft environment and operation tactics required by the operator.
