INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (SLCM-N MISSION PLANNING SECTION)
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will address technical issues in the engineering, test and development phases of the system.
You will coordinate and establish the scope, time, schedule and associated planning of the programs listed above and will recommend corrective action when necessary to meet requirements.
You will participate in problem investigations involving integration of missile subsystems and includes evaluating changes in the interfaces with the submarine combat control room.
You will evaluate system engineering, requirements management techniques, and engineering risks for strategic weapons.
You will demonstrate an understanding of weapon system safety, software engineering, and mission planning by finding ensuring that all aspects of the system meet requirements as stated within the system specifications and subsystem specifications
You will participate in evaluations regarding developmental testing and surveillance programs, reports from flight and ground tests, security reports, and technical engineering service studies.
You will participate in budgetary submissions in accordance with SSP direction and procedures including development of budgets, preliminary budget estimates, and internal meetings with other branches within SLCMN to prioritize development work.
You will continually assess the safety, performance, and reliability of the deployed subsystems.
