INTERDISCIPLINARY (ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/GEOLOGIST)

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Environmental Engineer/Geologist in the Environmental Restoration Division, Environmental Business Line of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

You will prepare scopes of work and government estimates for A/E services under the Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN) and Remedial Action Contract (RAC) contracts.

You will develop target position and negotiate levels of effort and costs associated with the preparation of various investigations and studies.

You will evaluate the CLEAN and RAC contractors' performance on Contract Task Orders on a monthly basis and provide an overall rating at the end of every six month period.

You will prepare detailed cost estimates for use in obtaining project funding.

You will serve as the Navy's technical representative once the Contract Task Orders are awarded.

You will lead in pre-proposal meetings and/or negotiations with selected A/E and RAC firms and activity representatives to review and develop the scope of work, or any special requirements of the project.

You will be responsible for studies, clean-up and site restoration actions, developing and preparing scopes of work, milestone schedules, correspondence, project descriptions, justifications, and all other actions associated with managing tasks.

You will take all actions resulting from releases of hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants from Department of War facilities.

You will plan, supervise, inspect, and advise on the work assignments including restoration of land areas as necessitated by clean-up actions and rehabilitation of sites to beneficial use.
