Summary
Advises on federal historic preservation and environmental compliance for a U.S. Navy engineering command, developing cultural resource plans and ensuring regulatory adherence.
You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY HISTORIAN/ANTHROPOLOGIST/ARCHAEOLOGIST/ARCHITECT in the ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This is a Temporary recruitment NTE 5 years. Management may terminate action prior to NTE date. Position may be converted to permanent at management's discretion without further competition.
You will monitor natural resources programs for compliance with federal, state, and local policies for the conservation and management of cultural resources.
You will advise personnel on federal historic preservation procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
You will develop cultural resource and preservation plans in accordance with established cultural resource laws, regulations, and statutes.
You will facilitate an organization's compliance with environmental laws, regulations, policies, instructions, or directives.
You will prepare correspondence (e.g., e-mails, official letters, issue papers) related to environmental planning projects.
