INTERDISCIPLINARY

You will serve in an Interdisciplinary Position in the Environmental Mission Readiness Dept (SEA 04E) in the Industrial Operations Directorate (SEA 04) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

You will serve as the Director of Environmental Mission Readiness Department developing policy and guidance and providing for oversight for NAVSEA environmental programs across the NAVSEA Command.

You will serve as the Command's technical environmental authority, subject matter expert, and program manager for NAVSEA environmental programs, policies, and compliance reviews.

You will coordinate environmental performance/evaluation standards to ensure NAVSEA field activities and affiliated Program Executive Offices fully comply with all applicable local, state, and Federal laws/regulations and Executive Orders.

You will work with the Fleets, other Systems Commands, OPNAV, and other Navy organizations to develop broad and comprehensive Environmental Impact Statements to assess the environmental effects of Navy operations at-sea.

You will determine the need for environmental studies and provide Command-level programmatic direction and oversight.

You will coordinate the development of responses to inquiries from Congress, Environmental Protection Agency, General Accounting Office, Navy Audit Service, DoD Headquarters/Components, Chief of Naval Operations, Inspector General, and other offices.
