Interdisciplinary Project Manager
Summary
Manages civil-works projects from planning through construction, negotiating agreements with stakeholders and ensuring delivery of infrastructure or studies.
About the Position: This position is located within the US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, Planning, Programs, and Project Management Division. This position may be filled at any of the duty locations listed on the announcement.
Manages all aspects of project initiation and planning in accordance with the USACE Project Delivery Business Process.
Oversees the development of agreements with the sponsor/stakeholder, and leads negotiations of agreements on behalf of the Corps of Engineers.
Manages project execution through all phases to construct, repair and/or rehabilitate civil works infrastructure, facilities and/or to provide deliverables such as studies, reports, assessments, or other solutions.
Ensures effective analysis, implementation and documentation of all changes.
Approves changes within authority and recommends actions on changes outside of authority to the District and/or higher-level change control board.
Keeps District and/or Regional leadership informed about projects through routine updates, project review boards, and other briefings.
Manages all aspects of program planning to include developing program management plans, supporting budget development, providing project guidance, selecting project management teams, and developing other planning documents.
Fosters positive working relationships internally while serving as the District's primary point-of-contact for assigned projects.
Assists in the development of other project management professionals through mentoring, training, and review of work products.
