Interdisciplinary (Supervisory Project Manager)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston Regulatory Division Special Projects Branch, Galveston, TX and will be recruited as a Supervisory GS-14 Project Manager.

Assists the Division Chief in all aspects of the mission, including program planning, resource management, coordination, supervision, and training.

In the absence of the Division Chief, the incumbent services as the Acting Chief, assuming total responsibility and authority for the division.

Executes the Corps Regulatory Program, ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies.

Monitors and reports on the progress of policies and procedures, initiating changes to improve efficiency.

Oversees the branch's permit processes - Counseling potential applicants and ensuring permit compliance

Oversees the branch's programmatic initiatives - Assisting the Division Chief in developing and implementing new initiatives for the regulatory program.

Establishes work priorities and schedules for subordinates.

Assigns tasks, monitors resource needs, and provides input for budget and manpower forecasting.

Supervises and evaluates employee performance, provides counseling, handles disciplinary actions, implements and oversees branch training and manages recruitment actions.
