Interface Manager
Job Title: M&E Interface Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Coordination: Manage interface boundaries between civil, structural, architectural, and M&E contractors to eliminate design gaps and construction clashes.
- Maintain Interface Documentation: Establish, update, and manage the project Interface Register, action items tracker, and dependency matrices.
- Facilitate Meetings: Chair regular multi-disciplinary interface workshops, progress reviews, and technical alignment sessions.
- Design & BIM Integration: Review shop drawings, coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) clash detections, and resolve technical RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors regarding multi-disciplinary integration issues.
- Commissioning & Handover: Ensure all interface systems are correctly aligned for testing, commissioning, and statutory compliance handovers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related construction field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale construction projects , with at least 3 specifically involving Hospital project and dedicated interface management.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of MEP systems sequencing, construction methodologies, and multi-disciplinary dependencies.
- Tools: Proficiency in BIM viewer tools (e.g., Navisworks), scheduling software, and document control systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills to navigate diverse stakeholder interests.
