Interim Lower School Music Teacher

Tower Hill School seeks an organized and energetic candidate to teach Lower School Music from early January 2027 through mid-June 2027. The ideal candidate will be a skilled choral and musical director with strong accompaniment skills on a chordal instrument (such as piano or guitar). This individual will lead musical experiences, direct choral ensembles, and foster a love for music in students.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement an engaging music curriculum for lower school students
• Teach Pre Kindergarten through Fourth Grade music
• Direct and rehearse choral ensembles and prepare them for the Second and Fourth Grade plays
• Organize and lead music for Lower School assemblies and special events, in particular Grandparent and Special Friends Day student performances
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity
• Maintain and care for music resources, instruments, and performance spaces
• Assist with student supervision and chaperoning outside the classroom
• Participate in faculty collaborations and meetings
• Complete skill based progress reports in February and May
