Our client in the insurance industry is looking for an experienced Security Architect to support one of their engineering teams for 2-3 months.

The assignment focuses on security architecture, secure development, application security, and technology risk management across the Nordic technology landscape.

The consultant will support ongoing initiatives, architectural reviews, and provide security guidance for development teams and business projects, contributing to both strategic and operational activities. Additionally, the consultant will help create architectural clarity, assess security risks, and provide practical guidance across security architecture, AI Security, Information Protection, cloud, application, and integration topics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support security architecture reviews and solution design activities across business and technology initiatives

  • Provide architectural guidance related to security, AI adoption, and emerging technologies

  • Support the development and implementation of security requirements, standards, and reference architectures

  • Contribute to AI-related initiatives by assessing security risks, governance requirements, and architectural considerations

  • Review cloud, application, and integration designs from a security perspective

  • Support data protection initiatives and advise on information protection capabilities, including Sensitivity Labels and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

  • Assess architectural risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term security objectives

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Security Engineers, Data Management, Compliance, and business stakeholders

  • Prepare architectural recommendations, risk assessments, and decision material.

Who are you?

We seek a consultant who can work independently, communicate clearly, and create structure across complex security and technology topics. The person should be able to transition between strategic architectural discussions and provide practical guidance for projects, platforms, and development teams. The consultant should be comfortable working in a Nordic environment with multiple teams, stakeholders, and governance viewpoints. Strong facilitation, risk assessment, and documentation skills are essential, as the role will involve clarifying options, explaining trade-offs, and preparing decision material.

Key requirements:

  • Experience as a Security Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar security-focused role

  • Strong understanding of security architecture principles and technology risk management

  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365

  • Interest and practical experience in AI-related technologies, security considerations, and governance

  • Understanding of application security, secure development practices, and modern technology platforms

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Sensitivity Labels, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical and secure architectural solutions

  • Experience working with stakeholders across business and IT

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Professional proficiency in English.

Advantage if you have:

  • Experience with AI Security, Responsible AI, or AI governance frameworks

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Information Protection

  • Experience implementing or governing Sensitivity Labels across Microsoft 365 environments

  • Experience with data classification and information protection programs

  • Experience within insurance, financial services, or regulated industries

  • Experience working in Nordic or multinational organizations.

Travel: Some travel within the Nordics may be expected
