ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for passionate and driven Interior Designers to join our growing team at IDesignerLab.

This role is ideal for designers who enjoy the full design journey, from understanding a client's lifestyle, developing the design concept, presenting ideas, preparing proposals, to coordinating and delivering the completed space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet with homeowners to understand their lifestyle, preferences, budget, functional requirements and design expectations

• Develop interior design concepts and proposals based on client requirements

• Prepare space planning, mood boards, material selections and design presentations

• Prepare quotations and proposals for clients

• Develop 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp

• Prepare technical drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD

• Present design concepts and recommendations clearly to clients

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and relevant project stakeholders throughout the project

• Conduct site visits and coordinate design implementation

• Monitor project progress to ensure design intent and quality are maintained

• Manage project timelines and coordinate design deliverables from concept through completion

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project stakeholders

• Ensure design solutions balance aesthetics, functionality, budget and project requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline

• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional interior design experience; candidates with stronger residential design experience will be considered for more senior responsibilities

• Strong interest and passion for interior design

• Strong portfolio demonstrating residential interior design work

• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp

• Good understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and interior detailing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented

• Able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider project team

• Passionate about interior design, aesthetics and creating meaningful spaces for homeowners

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders
