Role Summary

The Business Development Associate will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities across music, sound, and creative business verticals. This is a high-ownership, client-facing role requiring strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to convert research and discussions into actionable business outcomes.

The role is suited for individuals looking for long-term growth in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment with direct exposure to leadership and the music industry ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Research & Analysis

· Research and evaluate potential new business verticals and revenue opportunities.

· Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility assessments.

· Identify gaps in existing offerings and propose data-backed growth opportunities.

· Build detailed Excel-based financial models, cost structures, and revenue projections.

· Present structured insights and recommendations to the BD Head for decision-making.

2. Client Interaction & Business Coordination

· Attend and manage client meetings independently.

· Understand client objectives, budgets, and timelines.

· Convert discussions into clear proposals, costings, and internal execution plans.

· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

· Maintain professional and consistent communication with clients throughout the engagement cycle.

3. MIS, Reporting & Internal Support

· Maintain business development trackers, pipelines, and dashboards.

· Prepare MIS reports related to leads, opportunities, and project status.

· Support leadership with accurate, timely, and actionable data insights.

4. Strategic & Ad-hoc Assignments

· Support pilot initiatives and new service launches.

· Assist in structuring commercial models and pricing strategies.

· Take up additional strategic assignments as required by the BD Head.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, strategy, analytics, or similar roles.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structuring skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred / Added Advantage

· Background or working knowledge in Sound Engineering or music-related technical domains.

· Prior exposure to the music, sound, or creative industry ecosystem.
