Interior Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and experienced Interior Designer to join our construction and interior fit-out projects in Guinea, West Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing interior concepts, preparing design layouts and drawings, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with the project and site teams to ensure the design is executed according to the approved concept.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
  
• Prepare space planning, layouts, mood boards, material selections, and finish schedules.
  
• Prepare and review interior design drawings and details.
  
• Coordinate with architects, Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and contractors.
  
• Select suitable furniture, fixtures, finishes, materials, colours, and accessories.
  
• Visit project sites to monitor design implementation and finishing quality.
  
• Ensure site execution follows approved drawings, specifications, and design concepts.
  
• Review samples, mock-ups, materials, and finishes.
  
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors regarding interior materials and finishes.
  
• Identify design or execution issues and provide practical solutions.
  
• Make design modifications when required based on site conditions or client requirements.
  
• Assist with quantity, material, and cost considerations for interior works.
  
• Maintain project design documentation and ensure drawings are properly updated.
  
• Participate in client meetings and present design concepts and material options.
  
• Coordinate closely with finishing teams including tile, drywall, painting, carpentry, and other trades.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 5 years of relevant interior design experience.
  
• Strong experience in residential, villa, commercial, hospitality, or interior fit-out projects.
  
• Good knowledge of interior finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, and construction methods.
  
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Revit, Photoshop, or similar tools.
  
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and interior details.
  
• Strong understanding of space planning and design principles.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Strong creativity with good attention to detail.
  
• Ability to coordinate design with site execution and finishing teams.
  
• GCC, African, or international project experience will be an advantage.
  
• Willingness to relocate and work in Guinea, West Africa.
