Interior Designer
Summary
Designs residential and commercial interiors, creating 2D/3D plans in AutoCAD and SketchUp while sourcing materials and coordinating with contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences for residential or commercial spaces.
- Develop innovative and functional design concepts that align with client needs and project goals.
- Create detailed design plans, including 2D and 3D drawings, using software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Select and source materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure successful project execution and timely completion.
- Provide guidance and support during the construction and installation phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging materials, and design techniques to offer creative and up-to-date solutions.
- Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines, and present them to clients for approval.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
- Utilize MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare presentations, reports, and project-related documentation.
Requirements:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in interior design, preferably in residential and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp software for creating detailed design plans and 3D visualizations.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent creativity and design skills, with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
