Interior Designer
Summary
The Interior Designer develops design concepts, creates 2D drawings and 3D models, and manages project coordination from development to completion. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp to produce proposals and construction documentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts and space planning based on clients’ requirements.
- Prepare design proposals, layout plans, mood boards and material selections.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D models and renderings using SketchUp and rendering software.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties throughout the project.
- Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections when required.
- Coordinate materials, finishes, furniture and other interior design elements.
- Ensure that design requirements and details are properly implemented on site.
- Assist with project coordination from design development through project completion.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related field.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of Enscape or other 3D rendering software is preferred.
- Good understanding of space planning, interior materials and finishes.
- Able to prepare technical and construction drawings.
- Good communication, presentation and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with good time management and organisational skills.
