DAC Qatar provides commercial interior fit-out, custom joinery, furniture, signage, fabrication, and branding solutions. We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team and support our growing project operations.

Job Summary

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project drawings, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), calculating material and labour requirements, obtaining supplier quotations, and preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior fit-out, joinery, and signage projects.

The ideal candidate should have practical estimation experience, good knowledge of materials and production processes, and the ability to prepare detailed quotations within project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, layouts, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare accurate BOQs and detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out and joinery projects.
• Estimate material quantities, labour costs, fabrication costs, installation costs, and other project expenses.
• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for signage and fabrication works where required.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Understand materials, finishes, hardware, production methods, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with the sales, design, production, procurement, and project teams to clarify project requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or specifications.
• Prepare commercial quotations and estimation sheets using Microsoft Excel.
• Follow up on supplier prices and maintain updated costing information.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines.

Skills

Requirements

• Previous experience in estimation for interior fit-out, joinery, furniture, or signage projects.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, finishes, hardware, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
• Experience preparing BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with practical experience in commercial interior fit-out, custom joinery, furniture manufacturing, or signage estimation will be preferred.

Experience working with contractors, suppliers, fabrication teams, or fit-out companies will be an advantage.
