Duties

• Develop, test, and implement Java applications in accordance with SDLC standards.
• Support development environments, ensuring coding standards and peer reviews are maintained.
• Produce technical specifications and system architecture documents.
• Design and debug applications to create robust, scalable solutions.
• Minimise system downtime by proactively identifying issues and managing defects.
• Monitor system performance post-implementation and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver innovative IT solutions.
• Supervise and assist fellow developers to foster team growth.
• Continuously develop personal technical and business skills to stay ahead of industry trends.

Requirements

• B.Comm, B.Eng, BSc Eng, BSc Informatics or a related degree.
• 4–6 years' experience in Java programming (Java 8 and above).
• Strong expertise in the Spring framework.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Proficiency in Java, SQL, and data handling.
• Experience with system design, debugging, and performance tuning.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of banking or fintech industry standards.
