What You’ll Do
Technical Support
- Assist in feasibility studies, conceptual design, process studies, and detailed engineering design
- Develop key engineering deliverables including material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, control narratives, and shutdown keys
- Perform equipment sizing, line sizing, PSV sizing, and prepare process data sheets
- Utilize Aspen HYSYS and related tools for process simulation, pipeline hydraulics, and exchanger design
Collaboration & Project Execution
- Work closely with Lead Process Engineers to resolve design, safety, and compliance challenges
- Support multi-discipline EPCM projects and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Review vendor documentation and calculations to ensure alignment with project specifications
- Contribute to the delivery of commission-ready designs within project timelines
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards (AS, ASNZ, API, ASME, ISO) and regulatory requirements
- Participate in HAZOPs and other safety and risk assessments
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental responsibility in all deliverables
Technical Exposure
- Work on sweet and sour gas facilities, including well sites, gathering systems, and gas processing plants
- Gain exposure to compression systems, NGL recovery, amine treating, dehydration, and carbon capture
- Support projects involving refrigeration, sulphur recovery, acid gas injection, and turbo-expander systems
- Develop the capability to take on future Lead Engineer responsibilities
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Professional Engineer designation (C.P.Eng or RPEQ) required
- Minimum 5 years of oil & gas experience in an EPCM environment
- Strong experience with process design, including mass balances and process flow development
- Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS (experience with PipeSIM or similar tools considered an asset)
- Solid understanding of gas processing systems, including sweet and sour gas facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
