Intermittent Physician (Neurology)
The New Jersey VA Healthcare System is seeking an Intermittent Physician, Neurologist to join our outstanding team. This role may care for veterans at our Hamilton, Tinton Falls, and Toms River clinics, and is suited for a physician who wants to grow with New Jersey VA. The Intermittent Staff Physician - Neurology will provide direct and supervisory neurological medical care to veterans and /or employees at inpatient/outpatient sites selected as appropriate. The staff physician will also teach neurology residents and students clinical neurosciences. Scope of Assigned Duties Functions within scope of a staff physician - neurologist as defined Makes assessments of individual and group needs and provides appropriate changes to educational paradigm. Works with clinical staff on observing veteran's response to modifies treatment plan as appropriate with the needs of veterans, including transfer to other levels of class as appropriate Collaborates effectively with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure the continuation of quality health care. Work Schedule: This position has no set tour hours; work is scheduled based on clinical demand and the employee is compensated only for hours actually worked.
