Intern - Agronomy
Our Client, a company in the Crop Science and Seed Processing industry is looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic Agronomy Intern to join there team. The Agronomy Intern will be responsible for leading and supporting field-based agronomy activities by selecting suitable trial sites and cooperators, establishing and managing research and agronomy trials, collecting and reporting data, and supporting demonstration plots and product launches. The role also involves quality control, harvesting assistance, supporting sales representatives and customers, providing technical support to emerging farmers, and promoting value-adding partnerships and collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
- Site / Cooperator Selection
- Establish and manage agronomy trials
- Collect data in Impact (Research) and agronomy trials
- Support high ticket expo plots and product launch sites
- Inspect and report quality of demos and trials established by Sales Representative
- Assist in harvesting agronomy trials
- Training of Sales Representative and customers
- Identify and give agronomy support to emergent farmers
- Participate / Promote value adding collaborations / Partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 0 - 1 year working experience
- Good analytical skills
- Good knowledge of agronomy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have drivers license
- Member Of Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ) is an added advantage
