Intern - Application Support (Technology)
About the role
Responsible for the delivery, maintenance, validation, and support of operational and ad hoc business reports. The role ensures timely extraction, analysis, formatting, quality checking, and distribution of data from Ingenium and related systems while supporting service requests, report automation initiatives, and operational documentation.
Key responsibilities
Execute scheduled and recurring report extractions and process ad hoc report requests received through ServiceNow
Generate business reports from Ingenium databases and reporting tools
Validate report output and ensure delivery within agreed timelines
Perform manual and automated data extractions using DB Visualizer, AUTOREPORT tool, Ingenium online screens, and DB2 catalog resources
Execute SQL scripts to retrieve required business data
Analyze extraction results and verify completeness and accuracy
Review and fulfill ServiceNow report requests and understand business requirements documented in tickets
Track service requests using monitoring spreadsheets and visual task boards
Validate report logic and extraction criteria and cross-check sample records against source systems
Review data for anomalies, formatting issues, and inconsistencies and ensure compliance with established report standards and naming conventions
Operate and maintain automated and semi-automated reporting processes and utilize AUTOREPORT tools to improve report generation efficiency
Review logs and troubleshoot report extraction issues and escalate tool or extraction failures when required
Maintain reporting documentation and operational guides including data dictionaries, SPR documentation, report inventories, and database reference documents
Support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities for new team members
Coordinate with business users and report requestors and clarify reporting requirements and expected deliverables
About you
Taking up an IT-related course (example: Computer Science, Information Technology)
Experience with Ingenium, DB Visualizer, DB2 Catalog, AUTOREPORT, ServiceNow, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint/OneDrive, Beyond Compare, and SQL Scripting Tools
Ability to perform manual and automated data extractions
Ability to execute SQL scripts to retrieve required business data
Ability to validate report logic and extraction criteria
Ability to troubleshoot report extraction issues
Ability to maintain reporting documentation and operational guides
Ability to support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities
