Interns assist with workplace safety inspections, hazard assessments, and health monitoring in a chemical engineering environment, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.

  1. Conduct workplace inspections and monitor compliance with Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health (IHOH) requirements, company procedures, and applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
  2. Support the identification, assessment, and control of workplace health hazards, and participate in occupational exposure monitoring activities, including chemical exposure, noise, heat stress, and ergonomic risk assessments.
  3. Maintain and manage IHOH records, reports, and monitoring data, while tracking and following up on action items arising from Chemical Health Risk Assessments (CHRA), exposure monitoring, workplace inspections, and occupational health assessments.
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health promotion initiatives, including awareness programs, toolbox talks, campaigns, and communication materials, to foster a healthy, safe, and compliant work environment.
